Dominic Duval, Jr.Huntington
Bassist Dominic Duval, Jr., has been playing both upright and electric basses for the past seventeen years on the local, national, and international scenes. From 2007-2011, he attended the prestigious Eastman School of Music as a double major in both Classical and Jazz double bass performance where he studied with James VanDemark, Jeff Campbell, Harold Danko, and Bill Dobbins.
As an educator, Dominic has guided many younger musicians to the college level. In addition, he also held a position of adjunct professorship at Snow College in Utah, a former affiliate of The Juilliard School of Music.
Over the years, Dominic has also managed to maintain an active performing schedule playing at many notable venues such as: Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Jazz Standard, 55 Bar, The Blue Note, The Bar Nextdoor, Smalls, and Fat cat.
His performance resume also includes many musicians such as: Adam Nussbaum, Joe McPhee, Romain Collin, Barry Green, Corey Christiansen, Patrick Cornelius, Bruce Cox, Kevin Clark, Tom Guarna, Carl Allen, and many more. As a sideman, Dominic has also recorded on over a dozen albums in various styles.
