Dakota Daugherty

Ontario Mills

Dakota Daugherty has been playing saxophone for over 10 years and recently received his Bachelor of Music from CSU San Bernardino. Striving to be a versatile player, he has performed in a variety of settings: accompanied soloist, symphonic band, chamber orchestra, saxophone quartet, jazz ensemble, jazz combo, theatre productions, and more. Dakota’s post-graduation plans are to dive deeper into his jazz education and woodwind doubling via private study, and then graduate school. Until he begins his masters, he will remain in the Los Angeles/Inland Empire area teaching and performing. “I want to help my students learn in a way that does not intimidate them. We grow best when we love what we do, so I want them to enjoy each lesson so they can’t wait to open their case again. At the same time our goal is to understand how to practice efficiently.”
