Charlie Panosh began studying and playing classical guitar at age 6. He learned music theory from his mom, a concert pianist, and recording from his dad, an engineer. In his teens he discovered KISS, Van Halen, and Pat Metheny. After a few years of rock lessons and playing in bands, he wanted to incorporate jazz into his playing. So, Charlie studied jazz which gave his playing and ideas much more variety. Charlie gigged and recorded constantly during the nineties.
Charlie gave his first guitar lesson when he was 17, over 30 years ago, and has been steadily teaching ever since. Focusing on creativity and drawing out each student’s individual talents, Charlie has seen many of his students from long ago still playing and encouraging others to learn as well.
