Hailing from North Carolina, Charlie began his musical journey at the age of 13. He later studied music at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and has continued to learn and broaden his skills and knowledge of the instrument today. Charlie has been a professional guitarist and bass player in both his hometown of Asheville and here in Nashville for the last six years. Most recently he served as lead guitarist for country artist Ray Fulcher on a national tour and have spent time on the road with artists such as Luke Combs, The Cadillac Three, Kid Rock, Shooter Jennings and many more. Teaching both guitar and bass, Charlie specializes in Rock and Roll, but also teaches blues, country, and many other genres of music and styles. He takes pride in teaching not just the intricacies of any one style but approaching the basics of guitar and helping understand how musicality applies to the instrument in a way that can progress into any style of playing.
