Woodwind performer Cecily Terhune has been described as having “the heart of a musician – an engaging performer and a natural teacher,” by MSO Executive Director, Jennifer Johnson. She has performed internationally and holds a master’s degree in music performance from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.
Recent notable performances include a solo recital at Mukogawa Women’s University in Osaka, Japan, solo performances at the Chautauqua Institution in New York, a European tour as the Ball State Jazz Lab Ensemble’s lead alto saxophonist, and concerto performances with the Ball State Symphony Orchestra and the Kokomo Park Band.
A dedicated educator, Cecily teaches private lessons and small ensembles and enjoys working with various ages and skill levels. She specializes in flute, clarinet, and saxophone and loves many types of music, especially jazz and classical.
