Anthony Cherego

Anthony Cherego is a saxophonist who also doubles on clarinet and flute. He graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a jazz focus. During his career at West Chester, he performed with some of the universities top ensembles including the Criterions Jazz ensemble and Wind Ensemble where he played lead soprano/alto/tenor sax, flute and clarinet. Anthony has also played with world renowned professional musicians such as John Swana, Ralph Bowen, Delfeayo Marsalis, Charlie Sepulveda, Randy Brecker, Adam Larson and many more. Currently Anthony is the leader, composer/arranger and saxophonist of “Habanero”, a Latin jazz/salsa band based out of West Chester, PA. Anthony also plays saxophone and clarinet with “Big Boy Brass”, a New Orleans style brass band based out of Lancaster, PA for whom Anthony has also composed and arranged.
