Andrew Underwood is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Music Industry Studies & a general business minor. During his time at ASU he also studied drum set, percussion, and music technology. Andrew has studied under the likes of Robert Falvo, Matt Curles, Byron Hedgepeth, Rick Dilling, and Blake Richardson (drummer for Between The Buried & Me).
Andrew’s background and influences include rock, metal, jazz, hip-hop, funk, classical, and almost anything in between. Andrew is also very well versed in the electronic music world. He has been producing & DJing for over seven years & has started to make a name for himself with the moniker “BroMosapien”. His background in production and DJing span from dubstep, drum & bass, trap, house, and any hybrid you can imagine within the bass music genre. Andrew can teach anything from basic to advanced lessons with drum set/percussion & basic to intermediate with DJing/production, all to any age & any learning style.
Andrew has been keeping very busy with gigging all around the region the past few years, even playing notable venues in the area such as The Fillmore at The Music Factory in Charlotte. He has been able to travel all over North Carolina showcasing his music & even several ventures out of state. Andrew’s goal is to make his students as ready to play any gig to the best of their ability.
