Guitar Workshop with Muriel Anderson


Event Details


Muriel Anderson, the first female winner of the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship, will help you make the most of your time with your guitar in her guitar workshop. Open to guitarists of all levels of guitar playing, she will cover technique, arranging, interpretation and inspiration, by showing some new hands-on techniques, riffs, and tunes! Every participant will have the opportunity to ask questions to explore techniques for better playing and  musicianship. Each participant will also receive a free set of GHS strings along with handouts! Muriel has learned from legendary musicians Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Christopher Parkening, and jammed with Jimmy Page, Tommy Emmanuel, among others, She hosts the famous Muriel Anderson’s All Star Guitar Night and founded the Music For Life Alliance charity.OK to bring your guitar and/or to record the workshop if you like.

William Eaton, Harp-guitarist and builder extraordinaire:  William Eaton designs and builds innovative stringed instruments and is a founder of the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery, in Phoenix, AZ.  A four time GRAMMY nominee Eaton has recorded 16 albums for Canyon Records and tours nationally and internationally.  In 2015 he received the Arizona Governor’s Arts Award in the ‘artist’ category. Eaton has composed for and performed with a host of world-renowned musicians. He has worked towards environmental activism since the 1980’s and is a founder and director of Sustainable Arizona.
