Pasquale Iannelli is a saxophonist/clarinetist from Long Island with over 13 years of live performance experience. After high school, Pasquale pursued his passion for live performance by touring the country opening for legendary artists such as George Clinton and The Parliament Funkadelic, The Wailers, Tower of Power, Spin Doctors, and many others. In addition to sharing the stage with long-standing legends, Pasquale has also opened for some of the biggest names in pop music, including Open Republic, Life House, Ryan Cabrera, Hanson, Taking Back Sunday, and many others. Pasquale has also had the privilege of working in some of Long Island’s top recording studios, appearing on over a dozen recordings including As Tall As Lion’s self titled album as well as several of the Dear Hunter’s records including Act III, The Color Spectrum, and Migrant. Pasquale has been a proud D’Addario artist since 2006.
While still keeping a regular performance schedule Pasquale has also been pursuing a degree in music performance. Pasquale first earned an Associates in Music degree from Nassau Community College where he studied saxophone with Eastman School of Music alumni and life long Educator Bob Dransite. He has also studied with Richie Cannata (Billy Joel/Beach Boys), John Scarpula (Diana Ross/ Tower of Power) and a number of other. Pasquale is currently attending Hunter College where he will be receiving a Bachelors of Music in the spring of 2016.
Along with his performing experience, Pasquale has been teaching saxophone and clarinet privately for six years. His approach to teaching draws upon lessons from the great teachers he has had the privilege to study with, while always trying to keep music both fun and rewarding for his students. Pasquale has taught students of all ages and levels in saxophone and clarinet and enjoys the opportunity to share the gift of music to those looking to learn.
