Michael began his life as a drummer at the early age of five when his grandfather started teaching him drums and how to read music. He attended Texas A&M as a music major. Followed by thirteen years working on the road fine tuning his skills.
He studied with many well known teachers such as Ralph Hardimon, Richard Wilson, hand developement, Ed Soph, Jamey Abersold Camp, Chuck Silverman, Latin drumset, George Padilla, Latin Percussion and Chris Adams, author of The New Breed II. He has been teaching and playing locally for ten years.
Michael’s specialties are drumset-all styles, Snare drum- Mallets-marimba, Latin percussion basic-congas.
