Lou Brotman

 

Lou Brotman began his musical journey on guitar at an early age, playing during the folk music revival. He played in many local bands, and in the 70’s co- founded the East Powelton Jazz Collective, and began a long period of studying music, receiving an A.A. from Philadelphia Community College in Jazz guitar, and a B.A. in music and teaching certification from Rutgers. He then toured with The Silhouettes, of “Get A Job” fame, where he played guitar and served as musical director, and a tour on guitar with the legendary Organist Bill Doggett, famous for instrumentals like “Honky Tonk”.  He now works predominantly as a bass Guitarist,while teaching Guitar and bass.

Preferred styles incude, Blues, Jazz, Funk ,Reggae, and Classic Rock.
