Lorraine Ringling Offer has been teaching piano and music education for many years. She has received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Howard University, Master’s of Arts degree (with honors) and Specialist of Education Degree from Rollins College, and has completed coursework towards her Doctorate degree. She has taught piano, chorus, and music education in Seminole County Public Schools where she was awarded Teacher of the Year twice, has taught piano at Bethune-Cookman University where she was awarded Adjunct Professor of the Year, and served as a visiting professor at the University of Central Florida.
Ms. Offer has not only played for countless weddings, church services, and special events, but has also served as a judge of talent for the Southeastern Jack and Jill of America, and several local oratorical contests. She has been honored as an Outstanding Citizen of Central Florida by the National Hookup of Black Women, and is a published author and composer of several children’s songs.
Lorraine’s experience as a music educator has encouraged to students to excel in their art. Her students have performed at Walt Disney World, the Youth Theatre of Orlando, Church Street Station, multiple churches throughout Central Florida, and has had several students who have gone on to perform and teach music themselves! She is very excited to work with the Sam Ash Lesson Center and continue in her effort to inspire musicians of all ages and backgrounds!
