Gene McCoy, a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and the New England Conservatory of Music, received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree (DMA) from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
For three years Gene was a Eurythmics student of Inda Howland, who was a student of Emile Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva, Switzerland. Gene incorporates this method of music education into all of his lessons to ensure student success from beginner to advanced.

He also teaches piano for Farmingdale School District’s Youth Council. Recently, he has played piano for Levittown’s High School’s productions of Oklahoma, Sound of Music, Working and Bye, Bye Birdie, and Plainedge High School’s productions of Aida and “13”.
