Eric is a professional drummer from Indianapolis, IN. He has 30 years playing experience and has major credits to his name, including working for major labels, TV and MTV appearances with #1 hit videos, recording sessions in world famous studios, working with world class producers, touring and stadium concerts.
Eric has worked with well-known talents in the music industry including Lindsay Lohan, Tommy Mottola (former CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, President of Casablanca Records), Steve Lukather (Toto), Phil Sousson (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol), Bryan Carlestrom (producer/engineer for Alice in Chains, Rob Zombie).
Eric has played in over 200 bands and has performed thousands of concerts, doing tours such as the Warped Tour, and sharing the stage with such artists as: Lindsay Lohan, Trev Lukather, Snoop Dog, Kelly Clarkson, No Doubt, Black Eyed Peas, Back Street Boys, and many others.
Eric is a 2004 graduate of the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. He’s studied with Kenny Aronoff, Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Chuck Flores, Chuck Silverman, and Fred Dinkins.
Eric has been teaching for 20 years and has taught hundreds of students. Specialization: Drum Set, teaching basic to advanced concepts in Rock, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Odd Meter and Double Bass with main focus on fundimentals/essentials. He’s developed a proven method for getting students on the drum set in the first lesson, and teaches drum-rudiments and strategies to develop good time and feel, technique, reading, playing to a click track, drum tuning, and basic music theory. He also teaches basic Pro Tools/Logic Pro recording, editing, mixing, using MIDI and virtual instruments.
