Unlike most young, burgeoning musicians, Emily Dwyer knew that her heart was destined for music on her own accord at age twelve. Her collegiate career began at Florida Atlantic University and culminated with two Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance and Music Technology from Stetson University.
She was most recently involved with the Stetson Chamber Orchestra, the Stetson Symphony Orchestra and the Stetson University Opera Orchestra. In the past, she has performed with numerous ensembles including the Boynton Beach Regional Symphony Orchestra, the Florida Atlantic University Symphony Orchestra, the Englewood United Methodist Church Orchestra, and the Sarasota Orchestra Youth Programs, with whom she performed in Carnegie Hall, New York. She was awarded a first violin position with the Venice Symphony when she was only sixteen. She had her solo debut was with the North Port Orchestra the same year.
She never limits herself solely to classical studies, however. She remains an avid fan of contemporary collaboration and musical outreach. Emily is a great choice and is qualified for meeting a variety of musical goals.
