David Incorvaia has always grown up around live music and performance. Some of his earliest childhood memories were listening to his father’s various cover band rehearsals. He began playing guitar at the age of 11 and very quickly started performing wherever and whenever he could, performing multiple genres from blues to metal.
After high school David was accepted by Seminole State’s music department and enjoyed the first chair role (as a guitarist) in their jazz band. During his time at Seminole State he was awarded a Jazz Music Citation and began tutoring music theory courses prior to graduation. In 2012 he was accepted into Rollins College and began performing 5 nights a week with various local groups. While at Rollins he was recognized and awarded an Outstanding Jazz Musician from Rollins Music department for his performance on Mike Stern’s piece Chromazone. During his senior year he helped established the regional group The Groove Orient (Orlando Weekly’s Best Experimental Group, 2014), toured the southeast with Emily Kopp, and enjoyed playing locally with Laney Jones. David believes he has been very fortunate meeting, performing and learning from some of Orlando’s greatest musicians. He has now turned his focus on teaching the next generation, leveraging today’s modern technology as well as time tested truths to help you achieve your greatest potential as a musician.
