Adam Riviere, world percussionist, audio engineer and composer, holds over 25 years of experience in various facets of the music industry, including 15 published albums and numerous collaborations. He began playing the piano at the age of ten, which led to a love of percussion. Since then, he has studied more than 30 world instruments. He has degrees from Butler University in Music Business (graduated cum laude), and a Masters of Science in Music Technology from Indiana University.
Styles Adam performs and teaches include Middle Eastern, African, Australian, Classical, Jazz, Celtic, Latin/Afro-Cuban, Caribbean, Electro Acoustic, and Native American. He has performed and taught throughout the United States and Israel, Winnipeg, Canada, and presented Latin/Afro-Cuban drumming at Dr Hoch’s Konservatorium in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He has also performed alongside great artists such as tabla player Badal Roy (tabla player for Miles Davis, and John McLaughlin), Steve Gorn (saxophonist for Paul Simon), and multi award winning Native American flute artist Steven Rushingwind.
Riviere endorses Tycoon Percussion, Soultone Cymbals, Pearl/Adams Percussion, Drumz R Guru Ven didgeridoos, Sontronics Microphones, Solomon Microphones, and is a Vic Firth Education team member.
Adam hopes to have the opportunity to share his knowledge of world music and culture with all those eager to learn. His motto is to, “keep the music going.”
